Inclusion vs exclusion and fixing America with accountability 034

Inclusion vs exclusion and fixing America with accountability 034

Today Keith digs into Coca-Cola's Better Together global training program to help build an inclusive workplace. You know the training program that encouraged its employees to be less white... These statements provoke a lot of emotion and inspire some research. Starting with the definition of inclusion from Oxford Languages, the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those who have physical or mental disabilities and members of other minority groups. Further research from Global Diversity Practice defining diversity and inclusion provides a great deal of insight on the exploration of differences and a safe sense of belonging.

Accepting other races, places, faces,  religions, customs, and beliefs while being less of yourself is not inclusion. To single out any race, face, or place to benefit another is wrong being told to be less white black or Mexican is not American. Coca-Cola is not promoting inclusion it is in fact promoting exclusion.

With all the talk of privilege in the media, Keith explains the benefits of American privilege! Placing an emphasis on the shared values of American's bringing to light that compromise comes from common ground.  He explains the one word that will get America back on track, accountability.
